Block patterns are useful for determining the volumes and sizes of a series of products in a collection. Several styles can even be developed from the same block.
When building a clothing line with several styles from the same group, it is important to standardize widths and lengths as well as gradation. The pattern maker must integrate all facets of the development, production, and target customers, in order to make the first pattern in a collection.
